I am a qualified and accredited Non Violent Resistance (NVR) Practitioner and have delivered NVR training to parents within CAMHS and in private practice since 2018.

I provide specialist NVR training and support for parents and carers of children and young people experiencing aggressive, violent, self-destructive, anxious, withdrawn or avoidant behaviours.

My practice is grounded in the principles of rebuilding relationships, connection, de-escalation and firm and compassionate parental authority. I support families to respond to challenging situations in a calm, consistent and relationship-focused way. Throughout the NVR interventions, I work collaboratively with parents and carers to strengthen parental presence, reduce patterns of conflict and risk-taking behaviours, and rebuild trust and connection within the family system. I support families to develop practical strategies that promote safety, resilience and healthier communication, while helping children and young people move away from isolation, avoidance and destructive behaviours.

Relying on my skills as a practicing counsellor, I recognise the emotional impact that challenging behaviours can have on families, and I aim to provide a supportive, non-judgemental and empowering environment where parents and carers feel grounded, heard, understood and equipped to create positive change. I deliver tailored NVR training and therapeutic support that reflects the individual needs of each family.

I am a member of NVR UK, NVR Association and BACP. I hold full professional insurance and engage in regular clinical supervision and continuing professional development to maintain safe, ethical and reflective practice.
