Dr Jeanette Janes

Jeanette is a Chartered Psychologist and accredited NVR Practitioner. For her PhD, she studied emotions from a social, physiological and neurological perspective. Since 2020, Jeanette has been using NVR as the main approach of support for families, specialising in emotion regulation and development of self. Jeanette is one of the Directors of NVR Psychology, which was established with her colleague Jemma to offer a practical and empowering approach to family support based on the theoretical strategies of NVR, developmental psychology theory, informed by trauma and grief. They offer online parent groups/individual support to families of children aged 0-18 across the UK experiencing challenges such as violent behaviour, diagnoses of ASD,PDA, ADHD, learning disabilities, physical and mental disabilities, mutism, selective mutism, anxieties, OCD, self-harm and eating disorders as well as working with families to alleviate the anxieties of starting school/ returning to school. NVR Psychology also offers support to SGOs, adoptive parents and foster carers and any parent who is interested in relational and connective parent skills.
