Gathering Grace
Leeds, North Yorkshire
With over two decades of experience in youth work, mental health and well-being, I am passionate about supporting young people and educators in the UK. As the National Mental Health Lead at a large academy trust,
I oversee the development and implementation of a holistic and evidence-based mental health strategy across 54 academies, reaching over 30,000 students and staff. I also provide training and
consultancy services to schools, charities, and organisations on topics such as trauma informed practice, supporting a mental health crisis, and innovative projects.
I hold a BSc. in Nursing from the University of Stirling and a Diploma in Trauma Informed Practice in Education from the Institute for Arts in Therapy and Education. I am an accredited NVR practitioner and part of the founding team for our amazing Oasis Encounter Therapeutic Parenting Intervention which has seen us deliver NVR groups in person and online to more than 600 parents in the last 2 years. We deliver these groups in English, Punjabi, Roma, Urdu and British Sign Language. We are currently undertaking the embedding of a whole school approach to NVR.
Having trained with the Tavistock in facilitating reflective practice, we often support other organisations in reflective practice through a NVR lens.
