Fiona Williams

Fiona Williams has been an Educational Psychologist for 25 years and has three children, now young adults. Knowing about adoption and fostering from both a personal and professional place, Fiona was part

of the Scottish Independent Care Review and is committed to The Promise. Prior to working in psychology, Fiona founded a youth organisation in Glasgow for young people involved with youth justice and children facing poverty or abandonment. She has continued to support such projects across the UK for many years with her husband, Gary.

Fiona was a primary school teacher and is also an accredited Video Interaction Guidance Practitioner and Supervisor.  Supporting connection and finding a way through pain led Fiona to NVR in 2015 and she has since found it resonates with her values and can spark change and peace in most situations, some of which have been very extreme.

Fiona is trained in NVR Level 1,2,3 and 4a and can deliver training in NVR Level 1, lead parent groups and provide staff coaching to deliver NVR 1-1 and create plans around implementing an approach with large and diverse professional teams.

The Partnership, 'NVR Fusion' includes Fiona and four other psychologists who work very effectively together. Within the partnership, Level 3 training and supervision is also an offer which can lead organisations on a journey to be self-sustaining.
